First of all, you need to choose one of the ID services to sign in with.

If you play in more than one region, you will have separate game accounts for each region. Player progress and purchases are not shared between game accounts, even if you use the same ID for more than one region. Always check that you are in the intended account and region before making any purchases!

Start My Next Life

When you start the game for the very first time, you will be automatically sent to a tutorial tribe. By finishing this first tutorial "Learn First Controls", you can either continue to the next tutorial or return to the lobby. After returning to the lobby, you can already select a tribe from these four different tabs.

Tutorials

You can continue to the next tutorial anytime you want. By completing a tutorial for the first time, you will gain the spirit fragments (Details of spirit fragments at: Yourself#Spirit Fragments).

Temporary

Here is the list of the open tribes that have no owner and anyone can join. You need to pay the spirit fragments every time you join in (Details of spirit fragments at: Yourself#Spirit Fragments). Tribe's life time is automatically extended so you don't have to care the limit and enjoy spending yor time there as much as possible (Details of tribe's life time at: Environment#Tribe's life time).

Permanent

Here are the tribes that are owned by players, and set as "publicly visible" so that they are open for anybody to join as a #Temporary Guest. These also require the spirit fragments every time you join in (Details of spirit fragments at: Yourself#Spirit Fragments).

Private

You can see the tribes you own or you are a permanent member of here. Joining a tribe requires the spirit fragments the same as others.

Start your new tribe

Starting a brand new tribe costs 1000 karma points (About karma points: Yourself#Karma Points), so make sure that you earn enough points to get a new one. The cost of starting a new tribe increases after you purchase one.

When a start a new tribe option is available, you can give a name to it and set the difficulty level. With normal mode, you won't get starve so easily or the predators are not so severe. As it goes to hard and master level, survival becomes much harder. (Currently you cannot change the difficulty later.)

When you own a private server, you will see a gear button.

By clicking the gear, you can set your tribe as "publicly visible" or "only for the players with guest code". If you set it as "publicly visible", your tribe will be on the list of permanent tibes when it is online. These players that join from #Permanent tab are the #Temporary Guests. If you want to make it "only for the players with guest code", check only on "Players who know the guest code...", and share the code (Guest Code) below. Players with this code are still #Temporary Guests. If you want to invite your friends as #Permanent Members, use "Create member invitation" button and share the code that is generated there (Member Invitation Code).

Use invitation code

When you get an invitation code from your friend, input the code in "Use invitation code". There are two different invitation codes:

  • Guest Code
  • Member Invitation Code

If it is a guest code, you will see this message. You can search and find the tribe, but when it is offline, you cannot play there. It won't be saved in your #Private tab either. You will be a #Temporary Guest.

If it is a member invitation code, you will see this message. You can be a member of three different tribes at the same time currently, so if there are already three tribes saved, you need to give up one of these and add the new tribe. This tribe will be saved in your #Private tab, and you can start and play in it even if it is offline. You will be a #Permanent Member. This code is valid for one use, within 24 hours.

Temporary Guest

Players join in a tribe from #Permanent tab are the temporary guests. They happen to find your tribe on the list of the permanent tribes and choose to join, so they will not come back unless they happen to see your tribe again. Also, players with a guest code are the temporary guests. They can find your tribe by the code although it is invisible or offline, but they cannot play in it unless you activate it.

Permanent Member

Players that you invite with a member invitation code are the permanent members. They can save your tribe in #Private tab and start and play in it even when it is offline or you are not there.

Penalty

The owner of a tribe has the right to kick out or ban the guests or the members when it is necessary. You can read the details at Game Interface#Tribe Chat and Live Players.
